The Central Virginia Transportation Improvement Program (CVTIP) is mandated by Federal legislation and is a fiscally-constrained, four-year list of transportation projects programmed for the CVTPO study area. The CVTIP is updated annually, or as needed, and includes projects on the Primary, Urban and Secondary Highway Systems. Other projects included are safety, transportation enhancements and public transportation projects. The CVTIP may also include funding for feasibility studies, preliminary engineering activities and environmental impact studies.
The Central Virginia Transportation Planning Organization (CVTPO) seeks public comment on the proposed amendment to the FY24-27 Central Virginia Transportation Improvement Program (CVTIP), a document that outlines regional transportation project funding and schedules. A Public Hearing on the Proposed Amendment will be held on Thursday, April 16, at 4:30 p.m. at the CVPDC/CVTPO Office at 828 Main Street, 12th Floor, Lynchburg, VA 24504*.
Additionally, a 30-day public comment period will begin on Monday, March 16, and conclude on Wednesday, April 15th at 4:30 p.m. Written comments will be accepted via mail to the following address, or by fax or email indicated below.
